All the giant companies like facebook parent meta, amazon and walmart also kicked out thousands of their workers in the last few weeks.
The Washington Post requested PepsiCo to comment on the reason for firing the workers but the company did not respond yet.
According to the journal the PepsiCo layoffs can also lead the company towards a decrease in its sale of snacks and packaged food products in the headquarters of PepsiCo.
Even the biggest competitor of PepsiCo, Coca-Cola Co., decided to offer voluntary buyouts to some workers. Most of the tactic companies use this technique to reduce their workforce.
